The board is divided into colored regions. Your mission: place exactly one cat in each of them. Not one more, not one less.

2 No repeats in rows or columns
Just like a sudoku: every row and every column can hold only one cat. If two cats share a line, something is off in your deduction.

3 Cats never touch
No two cats can sit on adjacent cells, not even diagonally. Mark impossible cells with ✕ and let logic do the rest.

1 Start with the small regions
The smaller a colored region is, the fewer places its cat can go. Find the smallest one on the board: often only one legal cell remains, and you have your first guaranteed cat.

2 Think about what each cat blocks
Every placed cat rules out its whole row, its whole column and its diagonal neighbors. Marking them with ✕ turns the board into an ever-shrinking map of possibilities.

3 Look for the last free cell
After a few eliminations, some region ends up with a single possible cell. That is a safe move: place it and repeat. Master levels are solved by chaining this idea over and over.
